MC 52 RACING TEAM SHINES AT IMOLA: FOUR WINS, PODIUMS
AND CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLES REIGNITED

The CIV weekend at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in
Imola delivered outstanding results for the Moto Club 52 Racing Team
riders, who once again proved their competitiveness across multiple
categories with victories, podium finishes and strong championship
performances.

CIV SPORTBIKE
In the Sportbike class, it was a perfect weekend for Filippo Bianchi #7. The MMP Team rider
secured an impressive pole position, setting a new class lap record, before dominating both
races to complete a remarkable double victory. These results further strengthen his lead in
the championship standings and confirm his excellent form ahead of a historic milestone: his
debut in the World Sportbike Championship at Misano next weekend.

A strong performance also came from Mattia Virone #19, who delivered two impressive
comeback rides. Starting from tenth on the grid, the Extreme Team rider showed excellent
race pace and determination to finish fourth in Race 1 and fifth in Race 2, collecting valuable
championship points and confirming his steady progress throughout the season.

CIV MOTO 4
In the Moto4 category, Edoardo Savino #31 was one of the stars of the weekend. Starting
from second on the grid, the Bucci Team rider approached both races with intelligence,
maturity and strategic awareness. His two victories were built through consistency, race
management and speed, allowing him to significantly close the gap in the championship
standings and reignite the title fight.

The weekend proved more challenging for Sebastian Ferrucci #12 Team SM Corse. After
qualifying seventh, he maintained that position in Race 1. In Race 2, while fighting to move
forward through the field, he was unfortunately forced to retire following a crash, preventing
him from capitalizing on the potential he had shown throughout the weekend.

CIV MOTO 3
In Moto3, Valentino Sponga #30 once again demonstrated why he is among the category’s
leading contenders. The POS Team rider, already the 2025 Moto3 Vice Champion, started

from second on the grid and secured a third-place finish in Race 1 followed by a second-
place finish in Race 2. These results allow him to consolidate second place in the

championship standings and remain firmly in contention for the title.

NEXT EVENTS
With the Imola round now completed, Moto Club 52 Racing Team turns its attention to a
series of important international events. Filippo Bianchi will make his debut in the World
Sportbike Championship at Misano, while Alessandro Morosi will compete in Round 2 of the
Moto2 European Championship at Estoril. Edoardo Savino will also travel to Portugal for the
Moto4 European Championship, aiming to continue the excellent form displayed in recent
weeks. For rookie Sebastian Ferrucci, Estoril will provide another valuable opportunity to
gain international experience and continue his development against some of Europe’s best
young riders.

The Imola weekend once again highlighted the strength of the Moto Club 52 Racing Team
project, which continues to support and develop young riders through a pathway
designed to guide them from junior categories to the highest levels of international
motorcycle racing
