Aprilia RS457 Trophy Final Round

52 Racing Team closes the 2026 Aprilia RS 457 Trophy
with Luca Giovannini’s race victory, Gabriel Vuono’s
championship title, Panero finished 8th.

The final round of the 2026 Aprilia RS 457 Trophy took place at Misano
Adriatico, bringing an intense weekend to a close with both a race
victory and, most importantly, the championship title for 52 Racing
Team and Gabriel Vuono.

The weekend began with a positive qualifying session for the team. Gabriel
Vuono#65 secured pole position, once again confirming himself as one of the
leading riders in the category. Luca Giovannini #30 qualified fifth, while Jacopo
Panero#10 ended the session in 12th position after a weekend that had already proved
challenging from Friday.

The race was extremely competitive from the opening laps.
At the front, a six-rider group produced a continuous battle for victory, with Vuono

and Giovannini both heavily involved. The race featured countless overtakes, late-
braking moves and extremely small gaps, with the outcome remaining uncertain

until the final corner.

At the finish line, Luca Giovannini came out on top, beating his teammate Gabriel
Vuono by just one thousandth of a second after one of the closest and most
exciting races of the season.

Vuono was later given a one-position penalty after touching the green area beyond
the kerb at the final corner, officially dropping him to third place.
The penalty, however, did not affect the championship outcome: Gabriel Vuono
secured the 2026 Aprilia RS 457 Trophy title.

Jacopo Panero#10 also delivered a strong race. Despite the difficulties
experienced throughout the weekend and starting from 12th position on the grid,
Jacopo produced an impressive comeback, completing several overtakes on his
way to an eighth-place finish.

Overall, it was a steadily improving weekend for all three riders, ending in the best
possible way with a race victory and the championship title.
For 52 Racing Team, this represents an important achievement. After finishing
second in the Trophy last season, the team completed the job this year by securing
the overall victory.

A special thanks goes to everyone within the team for their work throughout the
season, to Aprilia for the organization of the Trophy, and to all our sponsors and
technical partners for their continued support.
There will not be much time to celebrate.

On Thursday, 52 Racing Team will already be back on the road heading to
Vallelunga for the final round of the Aprilia RS 660 Trophy, held during the CIV
weekend, where the other 52 Racing riders will also be competing in the Italian
Speed Championship.
