APRILIA RS457 TROPHY – Mugello

The 52 Racing Team once again played a leading role at Mugello in
the Aprilia RS 457 Trophy.

All eyes were naturally on championship leader Gabriel Vuono #65, whose weekend
started with an unexpected technical issue during Q1 that prevented him from
completing even a single timed lap.

Gabriel immediately responded in Q2, taking an outstanding pole position together
with a new track record.
A strong qualifying performance also came from Luca Giovannini #30, who finished
fifth, while Jacopo Panero was unable to fully exploit his potential and qualified in
eighth position.

The race delivered constant action and plenty of overtaking.
Vuono and Giovannini immediately joined the leading group, while Panero, slightly
further back, lost contact with the front runners after running wide at Turn 4, an
incident that cost him approximately twenty seconds.
With two laps remaining, Vuono managed to raise the pace, create the decisive gap
and ride away to claim his fourth consecutive victory.

Luca Giovannini also produced an excellent performance, fighting for the podium all
the way to the finish line and missing third place by only a few thousandths of a
second. He eventually secured a very strong fourth position.

Jacopo Panero #10 crossed the finish line in eighth place.
Jacopo did a very good job during all weekend but unfortunately, he did’t complete a
perfect qualifying laps and started for the 8th please in grid.

During the race a technical problem with the gear make him to lost 20 seconds and close the race in 8
th place.

With just one round remaining, Gabriel Vuono further strengthens his lead in the
championship standings.
The Aprilia RS 457 Trophy season will come to an end at Misano in early October,
where the 52 Racing Team will be ready for the final and decisive challenge of the
season.
